5. I haven't updated my weight to 172... which is still okay for me at this moment. i haven't been eating... so that's NOT good. I too gained a couple pounds over the last day but not getting down about it. Some say there can be a delayed effect on what we eat until it becomes real weight. I know I had a bad diet day on Sunday, had some processed carbs (pitas) and beer at a football tailgate. I wonder though since I did not see the pounds until today if it really is that or not. I did have some salty pistachios last night before bed and a fair amount of water so I wonder if it's just that.
In any case, I'm hitting the gym hard today! There's no giving up on this! Plus here's a new one for me: Wearing my work pants today, I had the "ability" to go in one more notch on my belt! It was a little tight, but I could do it! So I know my waist line is starting to shrink despite whatever that number says on the scale.
I really appreciate reading your blog because it is so upbeat and positive. It helps motivate me!

So I went home "for lunch" today at 2 ... ate, and then took a four h nap (!). whoops. Well by then it was 730 and I was meeting a student at 9 to help him interpret some spectra. So I saw that you wrote on my page, read it, then saw what John wrote, so I decided to read it, too. (I mean it has been a LONG time since I read it- sorry). So I was at the one about you lugging your kids to the gym, and I really wanted to read it... but decided man if she can, I can too. That would be two days in a row so ... here I go, call my student, tell him 930 instead of 9 and off I went. Row machine for 30 minutes, stair stepper for 10 minutes, then I took your advice with the incline thing (I tried running, and my legs were killing me!), so I went at 10 incline at speed 3.5 for ten minutes (I wish there were more than 3 workouts on this thing - I had to fudge it so I got the right number of calories. ha). Then I did weights for 10 minutes. I felt really good. Seriously, and I contribute it to you and JOHN! Thanks John W. And my gosh, I read from old to new blogs, and the last blog you wrote about me! Sniffle. Thanks. And my gosh I am so proud of your mile!!! WAY TO GO, BABE!
Okay, babe. I don't know how you can do the raw food diet (basically what you are doing). I need my sweets and stuff. Weird thing though, I had about 1000 calories before working out (only 17 points WW and then I shaved off 10 points working out, and thought I should eat more)... so then I had 800 calories in one sitting. Not good, but healthy choices... does that even make sense, I am not sure. Ha. MISS YOU LOVE.

So I have a story I need to vent.

Thanks babe. It was kinda like this... I pulled an allnighter the other night and so I was up for 26 h so when I got home I was too tired to even eat! and oddly enough I wasn't even hungry. So I slept from 8p-10a. It was nice. Then I went to WW... and here is what happened...
so I got there and I was feeling pumped cuz I hadn't gone since I redevoted myself to weight loss (instead of just trying to maintain)- which was the 14th. or 12th (can't remember). so I get there feeling amazing about myself (cuz I weighed myself this morning and actually got back below 170!! YAH! So yeah my goal at WW is 168 so I can go up to 170 w/o having to pay. So I said, I don't know if I will have to pay... and this is what the B said:
"looking at your booklet, the probablility that you lost seven pounds is highly unlikely".
I said, it has been two weeks (or three is what I said), and it's five because I can be at 170 w.o paying. And she said, well do you think you're close? I said confidently, yes, I think it'll be close. So I stepped on the scale and I was 170.2. (My weight chart is w my scale at home- more convienent). And this is what she said condesendingly... "oh, so close... maybe next time". I tried to kill her with kindess (something you are good at)... and said well, that's okay, I will pay, I did lose 4.8 since I was here last. And she said timidly, yeah. Okay, so I have weighed in before at that weight and they are not supposed to charge you. I mean I could have taken off my socks and peed and would have been at the right weight. and THAT is why they aren't supposed to charge you. I was so mad. That was so discouraging. Never have I had that kind of treatment at WW before. Usually anyone who has been overweight LOVES a loss for someone else. But the funny thing is this person- well lets just say to work there you have to be at your goal and well she seemed to be not.

Did you try the stairstepper yet? My w/e was eeeeeeeeeeh. I pulled an allnighter on Saturday night and was here until 11 am. It was crazy. So yeah, I think I have gained this week :(. I really need to work out today but I really have no energy. I just want to go back to bed. Working on stuff here and hungry. How was girl's night? Happy Halloween!! I was with you for last year's halloween!

Yes, I have used the stairstepper. You can set it so it goes really slow so you don't have to work as hard. Just put in on level 1 or something like that and then work from there. It is a really really good workout and your legs will hurt afterwards. I really like the row machine, though. Your butt hurts afterwards. No, but... re-try the stairstepper. Just go slowly... you'll be fine!! I really need to work out... have not found the time. Tomorrow will be a day off, so I will for sure.
I think you should be a motivational speaker or something because you just made me feel so amazing!
